Jeff Rothstein, DVM, MBA, is the founder and copresident of Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP). He bought his first veterinary practice within 1 year of graduating veterinary school, and from that built it into a multihospital network, The Progressive Pet Animal Hospitals (PPAH), which he merged into MVP in 2017. Rothstein has been a long-time contributing author for a number of practice-management journals. He has served on the advisory boards of Veterinary Economics and Veterinary Practice News. Rothstein lives with his family (including 2 dogs and 4 cats) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he has resided since graduating from Colorado State University, where he received a joint DVM/ MBA degree.

On a personal note, Rothstein is a long-term avid runner and frequently competes in both running and triathlon events. In addition, he is a big Michigan Wolverines fan, making him unpopular with most of his local veterinary colleagues, who attended Michigan State’s veterinary college.
