In this webinar, we will review the basics of all things suture related. We will discuss clinically useful applications of this information, with a special focus on the most common suture patterns in anatomic structures used by general practitioners and surgeons alike.

Shadi J. Ireifej, DVM, DACVS-SA
Dr. Shadi J. Ireifej, DVM, DACVS, graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor’s in Biology (2001). He earned his DVM from Cornell University (2006) and completed a rotating internship at Angel Animal Medical Center in Boston, followed by two surgical internships and a residency at Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS), becoming a board-certified small animal surgeon in 2012.
After nearly a decade at LIVS, Dr. Ireifej relocated to Las Vegas in 2016, joining Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center as a staff surgeon. He later held leadership roles at United Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Silicon Valley and TrueCare for Pets in Los Angeles, where he expanded services and developed hospital-wide protocols.
In 2020, he founded VetTriage, a telehealth platform, and serves as its Chief Medical Officer. Known for his energetic presence, Dr. Ireifej has been published in scientific journals and enjoys lecturing globally.
