Level the Playing Field: Everything You Need to Know Before Entering into a Practice Sale
0.5 CE Credit Hour / Veterinarians & Veterinary Technicians
Overview:
Practice valuations
and sales are typically unchartered waters for most practice owners. In order
to be successful in your negotiation you need to understand the language of a
mergers and acquisitions transaction as well as the numbers that make up your practice’s
value. This presentation will allow you to fully understand how your practice
is valued. It will also familiarize you with your exit strategy options and
better prepare you for the negotiation process when you are ready to sell.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn the terminology used in practice valuations and understand the differences between net income, taxable income, cash flow and profitability.
- Understand how practices are valued by first understanding how adjusted profit is calculated and then by learning about the factors that affect practice values.
- Compare and differentiate exit options available to practice owners and understand the pros and cons of each
