Bash Halow, CVPM, LVT, is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, a certified veterinary practice manager, and a licensed veterinary technician. As a veterinary business adviser and a veteran practice manager with more than 23 years of experience, Halow has helped dozens of veterinary hospitals understand how to build stronger teams and responsibly and ethically grow their businesses. He is a frequent contributor to Vetted and dvm360® and is a member of the editorial advisory board for the Fetch dvm360® veterinary conferences. He has been an invited speaker at all the major US veterinary conferences, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the North American Veterinary Community, the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association, the Western Veterinary Conference, the Midwest Veterinary Conference, the Central Veterinary Conference, and the International Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Symposium, as well as state associations and international conferences like the Atlantic Provinces Veterinary Conference, OVMA, and the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. He has spoken several times at the SPVS Congress in Wales and even had the pleasure of presenting to veterinary professionals at the House of Lords in London. Joel Gajewski
Joel Gajewski is a seasoned healthcare administrator with a diverse skill set spanning contracting, business process improvement, logistics, human resources, marketing, and strategic planning. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Highland Park Animal Hospital in Dallas, Texas, Joel oversees all aspects of operations in a bustling metropolitan veterinary hospital and boarding facility.
Prior to his role at Highland Park Animal Hospital, Joel worked as a Strategic Sourcing Lead at Steward Health Care, where he excelled in contract drafting and negotiations, particularly in the realm of orthopedic, spine, and biologic implants. With over a decade of experience at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Joel honed his expertise in administrative coordination, contract negotiations, marketing, and budgeting.
Joel's journey in healthcare administration began as an Office Coordinator at Medical Evaluators of Texas, where he managed physician scheduling and human resources functions. Throughout his career, Joel has demonstrated versatility, having also served as an Executive Assistant to psychiatrist Madhukar Trivedi, MD, and as a Marketing Tour Manager at Aspen Marketing Services.
Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature from Wayne State University, laying a strong foundation for his multifaceted career in healthcare administration.
