Program Description:
This program provides an overview of canine parvovirus (CPV) and associated treatment. This discussion follows a parvo case from initial call to the clinic through diagnosis and treatment, including impact of the latest therapeutic options on case management. The discussion highlights how a parvo case impacts all areas of the clinic and how every member of the team can help the owners navigate treatment options for the best choice for their family and pet. An introduction and overview of Elanco’s Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody will be discussed.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the impact of CPV on the patient, hospital, and owner.
- Understand standard of care inpatient and outpatient treatment options.
- Learn about recent treatment options discussed in the literature including a targeted Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA) for CPV treatment.
